Why did SW23 choose SS?
Sturdy Sports are a high profile cricket retailer on the Melbourne CBD fringe, a well-known precinct for specialist stores of high quality. The Shane Warne PROJECT (SW23) heard about Sturdy through existing clients and were co-incidentally looking to ‘soft’ launch the SW23 cricket and training range at that time. After researching the structure, background and retail offerings of Sturdy we found an experienced and customer focused retail outlet – basically Sturdy Sports covered all the bases. Once we visited the store and met the Sturdy team we were blown away by the local, national and international cricket knowledge and experience of every team member. While there, the level of customer service really did impress; from listening intently to customer’s needs to following up on someone’s new bat purchase from a few weeks prior. A shining light in the world of ever changing cricket retail approaches.

After an extensive and ultimately successful search, SW23 partnered with Sturdy Sports simply because they ticked all the boxes. A fantastic retail space with all the latest brands and equipment, and an eye for innovation and flair - something Shane Warne is known around the world for! While on the great man, Shane’s vision from the start was to bring together a team of highly professional and experienced cricket lovers with a passion for the game. The minute the SW23 and Sturdy worlds met a synergy grew quickly, along with an enthusiasm for spreading Shane’s vision and legacy through apparel.
